A close up of the printed card body with the window cut out. Acetate sheet provided the window and also provides extra support for the printed card.
This is a printed card body where the side windows have grey card behind the acetate. This is the motor car and this is intended to hide the mechanism protruding into the car. The inner card is 1.5mm thick bristol and it is not possible to print directly onto it with general purpose inkjet printers. Similarly it is too thick for a Cameo plotter/cutter.
A trial body, printer was running out of ink but showing the mechanism behind the window. The use of grey to hide interiors is common on commercial models.
A power car with the grey card behind the acetate to hide the interior. The body is just resting on the chassi which is why it is not straight.
