My interest in urban rail systems came about through an interest in model trams. Many systems are often a combination of the two with road running combined with dedicated track roads. there are also the multitude of city underground systems and some overhead systems.

There are so many variations that freelancing train ideas is straight forward and reasonable. It is also a good way of recycling older locomotive, especially cheaper model deisel locomotive parts.

This example uses and old Jouef diesel loco chassis in the centre section pushing a pulling scratch built units. Scratch building included the bogies and obviously the printed and cut out card bodies.

Losely based on US overhead railways glimpsed on old movies.
