Running the dog bone off the old motorcycle battery.
Having just set up a 12 volt supply from the leisure battery under the bench I thought I might see how well it runs with the 9A motorcycle battery. It has just been replaced but is reading over 12 volts.
Control is via a home made constant voltage controller from the Practical Electronic Model Railway Projects by R.A.Penfold published by Babani. This was my first eforts at a DIY controller and the results have proved satifactory.
Dog Bone is a basic continuous run. A third rail has been added so it can be 2 or 3 rail. Tight radii are used as it is primarily for model tram testing.
Card model is a trial effort shown on an 0-4-0 Hornby chassis.
